Woodcraft Frame Slider Base Kit (Pucks Sold Separately) for GSXR600 08-10

    * Woodcraft frame sliders stand out in a market crowded with look-alike options. Our patented design features a slider puck that can be replaced with one bolt. What makes the Woodcraft design unique is the perpendicular attachment bolt for the puck. Because we do not have to hollow out the center of the puck, we can leave the sliding surface of the puck solid. This provides 48% more plastic to slide on, dramatically improving puck life. The side mount also eliminates the hassle of trying to dig out a puck replacement bolt through a distorted hole.
    * For racing, this model uses a special universal shorty slider puck that gives the GSXRs the perfect amount of puck protruding from the fairing.
    * These sliders require cutting the bodywork. Making solid sliders with no offsets is absolutely the best way to protect your bike in a crash - giving the slider maximum strength to resist bending and breaking. Offset sliders can break and sometimes do more damage than they prevent (like breaking frames). We will only sell what we race with ourselves and believe these to be the best frame sliders available for this bike.

The first consideration for any Woodcraft product is its ability to withstand the rigors of the racetrack. You won’t find any fragile aluminum decorations here! Our primary goals are to build products that work on the track, look great on the street and are sold at a price riders can afford. Most importantly, our products are repairable and replaceable in innovative ways that save time and money after a crash. In short: if we can’t make a better product, we won’t make it at all! Popular products include Woodcraft rearsets and Woodcraft case covers.

      solid

Pros: mounts to hard points on the frame. very solid. it can take some punishment. cross plane screw for the slider puck is important feature.
Cons: needs color options (for mounting brackets, the pucks do have some limited options)
      Great appearance & build quality
      Andrew L. on 06/26/2008
Pros: Solid, beefy puck that is easily replaceable if damaged. Shorter than many so it's less likely to bend over on impact (like my other set of a different brand did). Blend in with the frame of the bike so you hardly see them.
Cons: The screw that holds the puck to the shaft could be black so it doesn't contrast with the puck, but I'm just picky.

Pros: The product is self explanatory. Product did come with instructions if you need it. All the hardware and fasteners are well made with good finish. As the descriptions of this product, it does require to trim your fairing to a small degree. I bought a inexpensive Dremel and trim away what was in the way. There are videos online from other riders if you need any instructions on installing sliders or trimming the fairing. I personally didn't use any fancy apparatus to help me trim the fairings; I just trim and test-fit. I repeated as needed.
I didn't remove my fairings at all; however, I did unbolt the fairings to get my hands and tools where I needed. If my Dremel didn't die as often as it did (or maybe I should have charged it before I use it), I think this installation would take roughly an hour to 1.5 hour depending how pretty you want the install.

      Cheers
Cons: Cons?... I was sober when I installed it? Other than that, the product is great!
