A unique Gear Position Indicator, the GIpro-DS, has been specially designed for motorcycles which are equipped with the Diagnostic System connector which includes the fuel-injected motorcycles from Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki (Triumph, Buell, Harley and Ducati still under development). The original GIpro/ATRE, which is the usually the #1 choice of riders who need a gear position indicator with Advanced Timing Retard Elimination, supports a limited list of bike models than the DS Series. The DS-series was developed to meet the high demand and is compatible with more bike models than the original GIpro.
(Note: The DS-series doesn’t have the ATRE feature, so the GIpro/ATRE will NOT be discontinued.)
The principle behind the DS series varies from the one behind the competitive products in the market. It is more reliable and faster than the other gear indicators since it reads the gear information directly from the ECU. The unit is fully automatic with no buttons, no programming wires and no need to cut/splice wires or access several connectors. All you need is to connect ONE single plug under the seat and you’ll be all set!
The size of the DS series is yet another unique feature as it is the smallest gear indicator around. Its compactness along with the bright and sunlight-viewable display makes it a perfect choice.
