    Gear Indicator Pro X-Type for FJR1300 non-ABS 01-05

The all new GIpro-X from HealTech Electronics Ltd. is the third GIpro variant in the range. This Gear Position Indicator will fit ALL motorcycles and vehicles which have electronic speedometer (either analog or digital readout).

Due to a modern processor and sophisticated firmware, the GIpro-X offers faster and more reliable readings than competitive products. Same size as the GIpro-DS this is also the smallest, most compact gear indicator on the market, making it easy to mount at the instrument cluster. Just the perfect size. It has a clear front face which goes along nicely with the factory instruments.

The product has a Red display.

The model is auto learning, there are no buttons and no “programming wire”. Just go through the gears and you are done. (see user guide)

Programmable Shift Light function as well as High Speed Warning feature is included. You won’t find this feature set in other products.

The product is rugged, 100% weatherproof and comes with 2-years replacement warranty.

    Installation?...pretty dang simple...

HealTech makes bike specific looms to make the installation quick and simple. This kit is "semi-universal" meaning that it requires one wire to be spliced (rpm signal) but the speedo sensor wire is plug-and-play! Follow these steps:

    1. Locate the speed sensor. Plug the GIPRO-X speed pickup wire inline. If you have a SpeedoHealer installed, you have to connect the plugs in-line in the following order: Speed sensor male plug >> GIpro >> SH >> bike female plug.
    2. Locate the ECU (Engine Control Unit) box. Usually under the seat or a side fairing. Find the tach signal wire (different by model...see bike-specific installation instructions for wire color directions)
    3. Just go through the gears (see user guide for instructions) and you are done. Note that HealTech suggests doing this with a WARMED UP engine.
    4. THAT'S IT!

      Excellent product.
      by Roger W. on 09/26/12
Pros: On my bike (KTM 690 SMC), the installation was extremely easy. Everything needed was located behind the head lamp. Programming the indicator was also very easy. A numpty like myself programmed it with no problems. I had 2nd gear programmed before getting to the end of the driveway. It is great to indicate a missed shift. A couple of times, I had shifted up, and it seemed to be in the same gear, and the indicator verified this. All in all it is an excellent product, and installation on an SMC is super simple. Finding the wiring diagrams for my bike proved to be much more difficult than the installation itself. Now, there is no more guessing if I have one more gear to go when droning down the freeway.
Cons: It calculates what gear you are in, so if coasting towards a stop light with the clutch pulled in, there are times when the speed and RPM's match the right ratio and the indicator indicatates a gear. Not a problem. Just interesting.
      E-Z Install
      by Glenn H. on 01/07/14
Pros: Plug & Play install. Everything you need is included, good instructions. With basic electrical / maintenance skills you should be able to do it in a couple of hours, faster if you already have a little experience working on bikes. Programming is a breeze & finished project looks cool. Really nice knowing what gear I'm in with a glance.
Cons: Not a con just a "heads up" -On my '09 Yamaha Fz-6: tap into light gray wire on tach sensor. Tap into Brown wire from rear brake switch for constant 12 volts to power LED.
      Great addition.
      robert k. on 09/06/2010
Pros: Looks good installed, numbers are good size and I chose the yellow to match the display panel.
Cons: This is not an easy install. Right side mid fairing must come off and speed sensor connector found buried behind aft side of engine then tach signal wire must be located either at the ecm which is under the tail cowl or go forward and remove windshield, then panel underthe windshield and find tach wire at tach connector. Total time about 6hrs depending on where you mount the unit.
