    Doubletake Mirrors, Colorado, USA
Ned Suesse, Dakar rider and free spirit, decided to build a better dual sport mirror in 2010. Like many of us, he was tired of poor visibility, limited adjustability, and constant breakage. Ned set out to achieve three things with his new design, and he did! 1) It works as well as an OEM mirror for seeing behind you, 2) it folds completely out of the way, safe from giving or receiving damage when off-road, 3) it has the ability to give-way in a crash and prevent damage not only to the mirror, but also to the bike. These are our favorite dual sport mirrors at Solo Moto and we highly recommend them for any dual sport, adventure, enduro or off-road motorcycle. Experience Doubletake mirrors for yourself, today!

      I kill mirrors
      by Aram S. on 01/02/13
Pros: My mirrors are usually cracked or torn off the bike by now but the Doubletake Mirrors on my Husky are in perfect condition. They lock upright in any position to keep the man off my back on the street and they tuck away nice and neat in front of my bar pad on my handlebars when I'm in the dirt. Simple. Tough. Effective. Just awesome.
      Vibration free and rugged
      by Dan F. on 08/06/15
Pros: I was skeptical when I first saw these plastic mirrors, but they are well built, have sturdy ribbing ,a solid ram mount, no vibration at 80 on tarmac, or surfing gravel at 50. They hold their adjusted position over whoops, fold down out of the way easily, and can take a hit if left up. I 've just bought a set for my second bike. Good kit ...
      Great mirrors but stiff adjustment
      by Glenn J. on 08/26/13
Pros: These are great mirrors. I put them on a BMW r1200 GS after breaking off a stock mirror in the woods. The RAM Mount design allows the mirrors to fold on impact, preventing off-road damage. They install easily using the stock BMW mounts. Good view behind and to the side with a "no tool" adjustment. Much less expensive than replacing stock mirrors. Very happy with the purchase. I may put something reflective on the back of the mirrors to increase bike visibility from the front. The black reflective 3M film would be a good choice.
Cons: Adjusting the mirrors to position takes patience, in part because you have a LOT of ways to adjust. Once you get the mirrors set "just right" mark the mounts because you will move them out of adjustment. Once set and tightened down it is harder to make minor adjustments while riding than stock mirrors.

The Ram Mount ball, which screws into the standard BMW mount, does not have "flats" to allow you to use a wrench to tighten them down. Use the mirror as a lever by tightening the mirror mount as tight as possible. The ball mount may unscrew from the BMW mounts in use or while adjusting the mirrors. Apply Locktite Blue (medium strength) to prevent this. Allow the Locktite to set overnight before driving.
