    The Ballistic 12 Cell EVO 2 model is the work horse of our line up. This is the battery you need for your built 1000cc and up four cylinder or your big cruiser. This battery puts out as much power as some of the biggest lead acid batteries on the market but weighs as much as 11lbs lighter! The stock battery on a Harley weighs 12.4lbs while the Ballistic 12 Cell weighs less than 2.5lbs. Thats a 10 lbs saving for less than $190 dollars! The 12 Cell EVO 2 is housed in a custom made proprietary ABS case with hard mounted brass terminals so installation is direct replacement with the stock battery.

    Ballistic Battery Features:
    * Up to 80% smaller than the stock battery
    * Up to 10 lb. lighter than the stock battery
    * Over twice the service life of lead acid batteries
    * Hard-mounted brass terminals for easy installation
    * Completely dry technology so batteries can be mounted in any direction
    * Non-toxic and recyclable
    * Applications for powersports vehicles from 50cc to 1800cc
    * Tested extensively by professional race teams
    * Impact- and water-resistant
    * Lose only 10% of charge over a year of static use
    * Can be easily charged with the optional battery charger (PART #3807-0104) that plugs directly into the BMS port on the top of the battery
    * Designed, developed, and assembled in the U.S.A.

    * NOTE: Operating environment: -18C (00F) to 60C (140F)

      EVO 12 cell in Hayabusa
      by Gary P. on 09/02/12
      Pros: Fit in bike looked made for same. Box contained enough foam material for mount. A bit of measuring and cut the foam a bit over 1/16" larger. Look at the battery in foam container, cut length and width as it will set in the battery box [over 1/16" inch]. Use a razor blade, exacto knife etc. Depth of foam will cover about half the EVO 12 cell -this is not a problem because the battery is so light the foam makes a secure mount. The EVO turns motor faster in summer weather. No problems for several weeks. I look for improved reliability and loss of weight. Time will tell.
      Cons: If you ride in weather below 60 deg. F it may take one or 2 attempted starts before the internal temp. of EVO will start your bike. Unlike a lead battery which does not require warming of internal temp. to start.
      solomoto saved me
      by Marshall D. on 06/15/12
      Pros: Once you have the proper battery for your bike it has definite attributes. It's very light weight, it cranks my bike over fine, it has a great warranty, and it's made in the US.
      Cons: Here's where it got sticky. I researched brands of batteries online when I knew I needed a new one. When I decided on Ballistic for the above reasons I followed the manufacturers application chart and ordered the battery they recommended for my bike. Now this is a little embarrassing, but when it wouldn't start my bike and it tested out okay I assumed that I had other issues with my bike. I won't bore you with the saga that ensued, but it turned out that I just needed the next size up, which Solomoto helped me out with and then exchanged my 8 cell for a 12 cell.
      DR650se
      by Peter K. on 02/21/13
      Pros: Bought this battery to replace stock batttery that came new with Suuzki DR650se. As 2 seat screws must be removed to access battery and that I don't have electric outlet in my shed, I wanted a battery that didn't require constant tendering. This meets the bill. It is my 2nd Ballistic Lithium 12 cell. The 1st was bought for a Honda 919. The 12 cell fits both, much easier fit in the DR. The actual measurements were identical to stock on height and width, the Ballistic was about 2 inches shorter on length, but cut out a section of foam packing and it is now snug. Confident in the performance and peace of mind knowing that I won't be stuck with constant charging as with the lead acid battery.
      Cons: 8 cell is recommended but for better power the 12 cell fits perfectly.
